With over 20 years experience, Brenda came to Lightfield Enterprises with a broad background in traffic control, concrete, and asphalt construction services. She began her career in construction with the City of Fort Collins. During this time, Brenda's eagerness to excel and become proficient in the areas in which she worked distinguished her among her colleagues, allowing her to rise up through the ranks in both the Streets Department and Engineering Department. Some of Brenda's acquired strengths included knowledge of the many published standards; project management on various levels; and preparing, reviewing, and interpreting procedure manuals, project specifications, blueprints, daily logs, correspondence, etc., and, when appropriate, negotiating contracts.
Since joining Lightfield Enterprises, Brenda has strived to blend the skills she learned as a government regulator with those that are necessary to be successful in the business community. As a project manager/estimator with Lightfield, she has been able to put her organization skills and common sense to good use in completing projects on time and within budget. Her knowledge of construction methodologies and procedures, as well as her ability to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines, has allowed Brenda's projects to achieve great results.
As manager of traffic control, Brenda now manages traffic control supervisors and flaggers; submits proposals, estimates, and traffic control plans to customers and government regulators; negotiates contracts; and more... She is a team player and a valuable member of the management team at Lightfield Enterprises.
