Coming from four generations of family-owned construction companies, Chris has been exposed to a wide variety of construction practices. This, coupled with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the industry, gives him a broad background and perspective from which to regularly draw on. Specifically, Chris has experience in site work, excavations, dry and wet utility installation, concrete foundations, concrete flatwork, oilfield services, framing, and more.
Prior to joining Lightfield Enterprises, Chris worked for the City of Fort Collins as a Construction Inspector. In this position, Chris put some of the Construction Management training he had previously received to good use. On a daily basis, he provided guidance in best management practices for the Streets Maintenance Program. In addition, he provided technical support for design build projects – scheduling and coordinating with various city departments and contractors, reviewing and updating city contracts/specifications, and inspecting the quality and craftsmanship of asphalt and concrete rehab projects. Chris was also responsible for estimating project quantities and costs to support a $15 million Streets Department budget.
As an active member in the community, Chris can be found volunteering his leadership skills as a youth sports coach. For the past 14 years, he has taught young athletes to go from the basics in their respective sports to being state competitors at the high school level. Included in his philosophy is, “When we work together and apply ourselves as a team, anything is possible.” Those same team building skills he uses in coaching he applies to a winning “construction team”. As a result, Chris is a valuable member of the management team at Lightfield Enterprises.
